You are thinking about your ex again even if you know that you should not. You are letting yourself become entertained with the thoughts of your ex again even though you know that you should just forget. Why do you let yourself think about the past anyway? Do you want to torture yourself. For a lot of people, the answer is yes. They are still hoping and wishing that they can talk to their ex again and rekindle the fire that they have felt for each other.
You should realize by now that things have happened for a reason. An ex will not become an ex unless there is a valid reason. A person will not suddenly break up with you for any apparent reason. Unfortunately, the reasons why you are left behind will always differ. Some reasons are more common than others but at times, you just have to realize that you have drifted apart.
You may be thinking about the time when you were surprised with a party complete with wonderful food and different balloons from Balloons A Buzz. Even up to now, you can still think of how pretty the balloons were and it helped that you were able to keep them afterwards because the balloons are amazing. You never expected it because your birthday was on a weekday but because of the company’s service, you were still gifted with all the balloons you wanted.
You may be thinking of things that will never happen again. The balloons are great but they do not signify your ex. Why is it that every time you try to look back at the relationship, all you can think about is the happy moments when you are not over yet? This is because you are blinded. You are oblivious to the fact that you are never getting back together with the person anymore. Once you accept this, you will start healing.
Here are some things that you can do.
- You know that you have to so do not stop yourself from grieving.
If you would not grieve, you will continue to hold on to the pain. You will continue thinking about the things that could have been when you know that this is not healthy for you. You cannot let your painful emotions all well up inside. Let your emotions go and you will start feeling better afterwards.
- Look for someone who will listen to you.
There are people around you whom you can trust and will not judge you for the things that you are feeling. They will just listen to you and during this time of grieving, you just need someone who will care enough to listen without saying anything.
- Try to get rid of the anger.
As long as you are showing anger, you are showing signs that you are still not over the person. The less angry you feel, the more chances that you are already starting to move on. It is okay to be angry in the beginning but slowly, let things go.
Letting go of someone that you have loved so much is never easy but if you would not do this, you will only be placing yourself in misery. You deserve to be happy and loved and you deserve to open your heart to someone else again in the future.
